Malakkappara check post will open soon;  Tourists can travel through Athirappilly – Malakkappara - Valparai Jungle Safari route  

Malakkapara check post will open soon as per the latest reports. As per the District collector, arrangements for the same are expected to begin from today (27th Dec 2020). Tourists can now easily travel from Athirapally to Valparai route and many tourists were facing difficulties to travel ever since the check post was closed. However, it is not possible to travel via Malakkapara & Vazhachal check posts after 6.00 p.m. Malakkapara Jungle Safari is starting soon!! Tourists are now allowed to visit Athirapally waterfalls Viewpoint from Chalakudy- Malakkappara Road. It offers the best view of Athirapally Waterfalls. Even though the Entrance to waterfalls is closed, tourists staying in the resorts can enjoy a view of the majestic waterfalls. Vazhachal Falls and Thumboormuzhy Dam & Ecotourism

are also closed.
